I'm considering getting the Evil Cake Genius Adjustable Crisp Corners Cake Contours Comb.  But, it's $40, and I have a limited budget.  I have such trouble getting a perfectly smooth frosting and wonder if this would make it much easier.  My question is if it's worth the $40, or if I should just spend a smaller amount on a bench scraper.  Thanks!

try it with a bench scraper -- put more icing on the corner than you need -- you could also splice a bit more cake on there because corners are usually shorter than the rest of the cake -- but you just have to have more icing on there -- especially on top -- than you need -- then just scrape away the excess -- swipe one way, clean off the scraper -- swipe the opposite way -- clean scraper and swipe from the outside of the corner in -- revealing the nice little corner hiding inside
