Hi.I tried making some non toffee like honeycomb,like in the centres of crunchie bars,I used a plain sugar only caramel and just added bicarbonate of soda,although it frothed mightily,the bubbles burst leaving it flat,is it possible to use too much bicarb?I used two teaspoons in 1 1/4 cups of sugar.Thanks.
