Hello everyone. I have to make this wedding cake but I am not sure how the border in the bottom tier was done. Or is it just a fabric lace band? Any ideas?
it appears clear and could be molded gelatin so it would be flexible to wrap around the cake. Isomalt would be stiff.
I think it is a piece of store bought lace. As gscout73 said, you could make it using gummy gel and dust with luster dust.
Thank you gscout73 and SandraSmiley. I also think is a fabric lace as I can see the sequins. Maybe I'm wrong but it's so pretty.
It is pretty and would be very easy to remove prior to cutting. Go for it!
