Does anyone have an easy way to transport cake tiers? I've always transported separately and stack on site. Sometimes when I just need a couple large boxes I can't afford to buy in bulk (huge minimums)... I can never find the large ones at the local hobby stores.

Walmart also sells big cake boxes, for sheet cakes, etc. You could easily fit 2 cakes in one box. They usually come 2 boxes in 1 pack for about $4.00.

I make cake boxes for taller cakes. What I do is buy a shipping box from staples. Normally the 16 x 16 x 16 is enough.  Well my husband makes the box usually. It's not too difficult.

If you do a lot of tiered cakes it might be worth investing in a Cakesafe.
