I am making a cake that will require a whole golf ball.  What will be the best way to get a life size fondant/gumpaste golf ball?

I used a plastic golf ball from the dollar store.  Cut it in half, dusted inside with corn starch after washing and drying both sides, stuffed both sides with fondant, took them out and glued together with edible glue.  Worked like a charm!

It really worked great...I was surprised at how well it turned out.  They thought it was a real golfball!
