I store my flour in the freezer in freezer bags and was wondering if the same can be done with powder sugar I have 50# of each

As long as whatever you keep it in is sealed, it's not necessary to keep sugar refrigerated or frozen.  It won't go bad unless it gets wet.  I used large dog food bins that had a rubber gasket seal.  They kept everything out and worked nicely.

I decided to be safe after reading stories where it should be stored in glass or plastic containers I moved it to my freezer
