Warning, this may come off as a silly question so beware.  lol

I have a bride that is supplying her own flowers for her cake.  Ok, great.  She just emailed me stating that she purchased white foam rose heads.  I've never dealt with foam in this type of situation.  So, my questions are 1) can they be colored like gumpaste using petal dust? and 2) What is the best way to put them on the cake? Edible glue or use floral wire and use cake stakes?

Is this similar to what she will be supplying? If so it appears they are already colored and ordered according to what color you want. I am not sure if this is what your customer is ordering or not. Maybe others here will know better than me. Good luck!

I have never in my life heard of such a thing!  Maybe, if they are not already colored, you should let it be her responsible to color them to her satisfaction, since she insisted on supplying them.

Thanks you guys.  I'm going to tell her that I've never dealt with foam roses and that I'm not comfortable with dealing with them.  I found some the color she wants and I'm going to send her the link. Oan they seem like a great alternative to gumpaste for brides on a budget...
