When I was akid, many, many years ago, my mom used to make an. Chocolate icing that was like chocolate fudge with a hard glossy outside. I remember she cooked it on the stove and used Herhsey's cocoa powder, vanilla and sugar. I loved it so much I would fight my brother to clean out the bowl. I've been trying to recreate that icing but no luck. I asked my mom for the recepie before she passed but she had forgotten hoew to make it. I would love any help I could get to recreate this childhood favorite.

There's a recipe on the side of the Hershey's cocoa powder box with a frosting recipe.  It requires melting butter in a pot on the stove top.  Maybe that's what you're looking for.
