I need to make cookies using royal icing.  White background and gold dots.  I would like to use the wet on wet technique, but I don't know how to make gold royal icing.  Any help?

I think you would have to paint the RI with the dust & alcohol after it drys.

Julia Usher may be able to help with this method.  Search for "gold" in her blog search box.

You can probably mix in an edible gold luster like Roxy & Rich Hybrid Sparkle Dust [https://www.roxyandrich.com/food-coloring/hybrid-sparkle-dust], but it will never shine as much as painting it on.

You could use a polka dot stencil, a dauber, or a stylus: https://plaidonline.com/blog/july-2014/how-to-paint-polka-dots-professionally

By the way, where did you source your ingredients?

I ordered mine from Edna de la Cruz's on-line store at Design Me A Cake.  It is beautiful, but it is not edible.
