I see this Spectacular cake that I want to play with. The design will be completely different (of course) but I really would like to know how they got that "running water" part at the bottom tier. Is it really water or Isomalt? How is the fondant not melting away? Any suggestions from my favorite people in the world? ;-) o.jpg

You could do a similar effect with isomalt, but I will declare this looks like real water!  Look at the basin holding it....appears to be lined with something to hold water.  Maybe the whole bottom tier is clay???

Maybe some plastic wrap is separating the sugar work from the water.  In

video, they do a close up and you can see the plastic wrap they used to keep the water separate.  In your example, maybe they hid it better with the trees and shrubs around the pond.  In your example, the pump is easily hidden under the cake...just need a tunnel through the cake for the hose to pop out.

Well, do a little practice run, @Miss.Reynolds ‍!  Then, if you can't do it for this customer, maybe for the next one who gives you free rein.
