So I made cake truffles cake pops minus the stick uncoated all 70 of them are in airtight containers in the fridge. Tomorrrow I am coating them in chocolate but... I live in New England and it's going to be 87 d out we can go from hot to cold in an instant.
The event is Saturday and it's in pa which is. 4 1/2 drive for me we are leaving Friday late morning.
What can can I do tomorrow to insure the cake truffle coating won't melt?
As far as traveling I was going to leave cake truffles in airtight container in those hot cold insulated bags you get at the grocery store and put a light weight sheet over it the car we are driving in is an SUV with an open trunk i am thinking the bag as well as the sheet should be enough or would you suggest I get some ice packs and place them in a bag over the sheet and insulated bag?
You could place the ice packs inside the bags underneath your air tight containers?
I would just put some ice packs in the bottom of a cooler and place the containers on top. Between that and the AC running in your car, they should be fine.
