I just started a recipe that calls for 2 aluminum cake pans and not non stick. But i only have silicone. Will this be a problem? Tia!

Aluminum as a metal distributes heat differently than silicon. I think you need to adjust the baking time and maybe temperature. I think aluminium is heating faster then silicon. But that sholud't be a problem.
