So...I usually end up with not enough, or too much frosting when I am making a buttercream rosette cake. Can anyone help me out with the cups of frosting needed to do large 1M tip rosettes on a 10 inch round? (not including the 5 cups I plan on using to fill and crumb coat). Doing planning for an ombre rosette Peppa Pig cake and smash cake for next week! Thanks!!

Wish I could help! Rosette cakes are buttercream eaters! lol. It takes a bit, and I can never for the life of me make the perfect amount. I'm in the same boat as you with either too much or too little, but I always use what is left over for other cake projects. So none goes to waste at my house. =) Hope someone can enlighten us how they figure this out. smile
