I would like to make these suckers, but the Wilton mold that is used only has one mold for this dog face.  I would need maybe 16 to 18 of them.  What would the work flow look like for doing this using only one mold?  Do you somehow keep all 3 colors of chocolate melted all day long and just plug along?  I really would rather buy them, but I'm afraid they'll melt in shipping.  The seller sells ice packs along with it, but it has to come from NY to Colorado.

If you keep the chocolate in a piping bag, you can reheat the chocolate as needed, but I would pipe the tongue, pop in fridge to quickly set, pipe the nose, back in the fridge, and then the rest, back in the fridge. It would take a good amount of time with having one mold, but nothing too crazy.

How long do they keep?  If I had them wrapped in cellophane, how early could I start?  Party is end of June so I have time.

I wouldn't really do them too far ahead of time, maybe 2 weeks. I've never kept them long so I'm not sure of the time frame, sorry!

Oh, you can pipe the tongue and nose part at the same time since they aren't touching each other  and then you'll only have to finish with the white.

Have you thought about the Wilton candy melt fondue pot? I use mine a lot and there is also a divided insert for two colours. When done let left overs set and they pop right out to use again.

I had no idea there was such a thing!  I ended up finding a woman locally who can make them for me for fairly cheap.  But I will look into that fondue pot for next time.  One thing I didn't even think about is that I have a warming tray.  I wonder if putting three bowls of Wilton melts on there would work to keep it warm.  I kind of already told this lady I wanted her to do it, but maybe I'll try that for next time.

I bought mine at michaels with 50% coupon and the divided insert at Walmart. The inserts are plastic so easy to manipulate
