Hi bakers,

I need help designing the structure for a blaze 3d cake. Blaze is a monster truck car. But the problem is it is elevated and supported by its wheels. Is there an easy way to design its structure ?? Do i need to use 4 rods on each tire ?? I have attached images for reference.

Thanks a ton in advance for help.

I did a car cake last month it didn't turn out great but it was my first attempt.  I had some salmon smoking planks that I cut to fit under the car. I placed long nails where the tires would hide it to hold it up. With the screw heads resting on the cake board. I hot glued the nails to the base cake board so the cake couldn't move. (Hope that makes sense! )  Where mine went wrong was the cake board the cake was on was to thin to support the weight.  My plank wasn't long enough so the front and back of the car hung over quite a bit. I ended up having to just lay the car down on the base. It didn't look right because I planned the cake being raised so the tires looked weird.  Just wanted to share my experiance so my mistakes can hopefully help you. Good luck you should post your finish cake!

Hi Shanelly,

Your idea seems good and simple. For the time being I drew up a support and gave it to a carpenter to make it(I am from india, so carpenters here are affordable.)

Now I just have to see if it turns out good enuf for the cake. Will definitely post the pics once its done. It is for the end of the month.

Thanks for the tip though.
