Hello fellow bakers! I need some professional advice on how to price my cakes. It's my hobby; I am working on getting my license. My friends have started asking me to bake/ my pricing on my cakes. I have done the math regarding how much the ingredients cost me.

This 8-inch cake (4 inches tall) is made from sponge cake layers (10 eggs, 3 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1.5 cups sugar, $5). The icing is Italian Meringue Buttercream (5 egg whites, 1 1/4 cups sugar, and water, $6.90). I also added some raspberries inside ($3). Decorated with chocolate ganache (chocolate is $3 and heavy cream 1 cup is $2.50). Decorations are chocolate covered strawberries ($1 each approximately) and fresh flowers ($6.50). Cake board is $0.50. Total invested is $32.40. Screen Shot 2017-05-01 at 1.33.40 AM.png

What's the average "retail" price of a cake like this?

I can't see the picture maybe try uploading it again and see if it works. I bet you would get more replies that way.  Also include where you are, market is different from place to place.  Check local bakeries and see what they charge per serving. Im just starting out also but that is how im figuring out a price.   In case you don't know im pretty sure your cake will need to be refrigerated, so I would plan around that!  Also make sure the flowers are safe and non toxic.
