Do You Think These Flavors Would Go Well Together?

I didn't have much vanilla extract while baking a cake so I used half vanilla and half almond extract.  I actually liked how the flavor came out.  I was going to fill the cakes with italian custard cream and strawberries and frost with swiss meringue buttercream.  I am not sure how all these flavors will go together.  Thoughts?

I think it sounds great-- strawberries go well with vanilla and really good with almond. What flavors are italian custard cream and the buttercream?

I always use both vanilla and almond in my white or yellow cakes.  It is my favorite flavor combination and I think it will be delightful with the strawberries, custard and buttercream.
