So I'm just getting into the cake stuff, as in I've JUST bought a few things for decorating, and I plan on making a Samus Aron doll cake for my friends birthday in a few months. I've made a sketch of it already and I know what I want it to look like, and I'd like to add a little metroid attached to a wire to look like its hovering next to her. I need to know if there is anything I can make in a mold that is clear and preferably edible that I can practice with in a few months.
I had to google what the metroid looked like, and thought a gelatin bubble would be an option. Possibly make the base/ tentacles (?) out of fondant and place a bubble on top.
Found a tutorial right here on Cake Central. Hope the link works. Good Luck!
