Hi. I wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I am making my wedding cake for my wedding in July. I would like to make 2 hummingbirds to have on either side of the cake, however I have never made bird figurines before and I don't have a lot of time to practice. There only seems to be mould available for one side of the bird so they aren't practical for what I want. I have since found an ornament I could use to make my own mould but I'm concerned the bird would be too heavy. I was thinking of using large florist wires to hold them in the cake. Would this work or does anyone have any other ideas? I would be grateful for any advice.
