My sister in law has asked me to make her wedding cake for her and likes the style of the picture attached.

The cake has to feed 130 people so originally I thought of doing 3 tiers at 6", 10" and 14" to give enough servings but the cake in the photo looks like the tiers are much closer in size to each other.  Should I go for more tiers but smaller or 3 big ones to cover the servings?

Also, she's going to get her florist to do her flowers, so I won't be making them.

As always, any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

6/10/14 gives you 128 servings;  6/8/10/12 gives you 130 servings.  Either will work.  And you are correct, the picture is closer dimensions.

Thank you so much Leah_s, I think I'll suggest the 6/8/10/12 version as that will look more like what I'm trying to achieve.

Thanks for the additional cake guide too, that will be getting printed out and kept handy for future!
