Why Do My German Chocolate Cakes Fall?

Every time I bake a German Chocolate cake from scratch it falls. I use the exact ingredients it called for and the right cake pans it calls for and still it falls. I am beginning to think I just will never be able to make a German Chocolate cake from scratch :(
could be different things -- are you waiting for it to be completely baked before you remove it from the oven as opposed to just leaving it in the oven for the allotted time recommended in the recipe -- what does the recipe say about the doneness test -- like insert a toothpick or when it springs back when touched --
and do you have an oven thermometer -- sometimes ovens cycle the heat too slowly or too quickly and this messes with the gradual calculated process that gets the cake done successfully -- so it could be your oven maybe --
it sounds like maybe you bake other things ok? do you bake other items like cakes successfully?
is it the recipe on the german's chocolate box? what kind of fat do you use?
