I'm in too...I've been doing the weight loss thing on my own for the last few months...I fell off the wagon w/ Hurricane Rita but now I need to get back on track as of today. I've been counting calories and that seems to be the best because it's black and white in terms of what I've put into my mouth... I use www.fitday.com and www.caloriesperhour.com to track this...if anyone's interested!

Thanks for setting this up!!

I'm in, too. My sister started WW about 6 weeks ago and has lost 10 lbs already. Of course she exercises like a maniac, but that hasn't changed at all from b4 the program. I didn't sign up for WW myself, but I went and picked up their starter kit so I can keep track of my points. Did great last week, but spent this weekend with my mom in Houston, forgot the kit, and really fell off the wagon because we ate out so much (and I brought her a birthday cake.)

But like my sister says they say in WW, you can fall off the wagon, just don't let the wagon run you over. In other words, just because you had a bad weekend, that doesn't mean you can't start fresh on Monday. Don't give up.

I've also started a light exercise program. I've been a member of a local gym since December, but haven't gone much at all in the summer months. Started getting back into it a few weeks ago (supposed to do a half-marathon in Jan with sis-Hah!) I haven't really lost any weight, but I quit the gaining I was doing from a new method of BC that was starting to load on the pounds.

Right now I'm on my way out the door to walk DD to the Asian market at the corner to pick up a few things for dinner - Shrimp curry, light on the butter, 2% milk instead of heavy cream, brown rice & a salad.

One last thing - for those of you that have it in the budget, a gym membership can be a great thing. Stick the kids in their free daycare and you not burn a few calories, it's time to yourself that you deserve!

This will be a great support system. I still have 70 more pounds to lose. Since I started cake decorating 2 months ago I have lost 18 pounds. I just baked a 2 teir square cake for my granddaughters first birthday and never ate a bite. But I am a emotional eater plus I am on meds alot for my asthma then comes the prednisone and on comes the pounds. Believe it or not it is easier to not eat while I bake and decorate. Right now I am 246 and my goal is 180. Thats where I feel comfortable. Thanks for starting this little group.

I would love to join this little weight lose group too. I have a 7 month old and got down to my pre-pregnancy weight several months ago doing WW. I think nursing helped a great deal too!!! I have been at the same weight for the last month or so. I think it is b/c I am still nursing. I would like to lose 20-30 pounds.

I am going to try to attach a nice tool I got when I first did WW several years ago. You have to figure it out on the computer but it was always helpful for me when I was at work. You type in the calories, fat and fiber and the excel sheet will figure out the points for you automatically. If this tool has already been shared I apologize

Ok, I'm late, but I'd like to play too! I am not doing any particular plan right now, but have tried plenty. A moderate Carb diet seems to be the best. I lost steadily but didn't feel deprived.

I fell off the wagon and need to get back on. I am predisposed for diabetes, and need to get my butt in gear! Both literally and figuratively.

I'll update my siggy soon with weights!

OK count me in. I have been working out for the past 2 weeks. My DH has agreed to help me. I need to lose 111 lbs. I get weighed twice every week when i donate plasma so i will go by that scale. I went today and weighed in at 261!!!!!! I cant believe i am telling my weight it goes against everything i have ever been told. LOL ok so i lift weights 3 days a week and do cardio 4 days. I just started 2 weeks ago and have been kind of lazy on the cardio but am getting a treadmill in a week or so. I have 2 year old and he makes it hard to get good cardio in. Now if i could only change my eating habits. I do good for a while then i fall off the wagon. Pepsi is my greatest weakness.

261~261~150

Should we have a weekly post rather than one long running post? Maybe the first person each week starts a new topic - "Cake Diva WWI" (weekly weigh-in)

Hi Ali, that's a good idea. This our posts don't get too long. If its ok I can start a new post tomorrow morning and I will title it Cake Diva WWI. I will also post here to let everyone know it is available. We can all check in there no matter what day of the week we weigh!

I am so in!
My old scale broke so I will have to get a new one and then I will weigh in. I did WW as soon as my dd was born and lost all the weight and more. I was at my perfect weight. DD is not 3 and I have gained. I have a full time business and her and it's hard to get that excersize in but this will really help. Berta I think you are a great motivator!

I'm at Gold's, too, Carla, and I just got Depo for the first time in August. My weight was going up, so I decided I needed to nip it in the bud and went back to the gym. Besides - weight bearing exercise helps prevent bone loss that is another unfortunate side effect of the Depo.
