Too Much Red While Making Orange Dough!

I am making rainbow cookies for my son's class, and added too much red to the yellow food coloring in the dough. Now the orange looks exactly like the red dough. Is there any way to fix this?

The only thing I was ever able to do was make a second batch and add white dough to the original, or just start over.  Red is a powerful color.  It would take so much yellow, you'd likely wind up tasting the dye.
