Freezing A 3D Bear Cake????

Has anyone frozen a 3D bear cake? Did you have any problems with it? I pefer to freeze, I find it easier to work with.

Recently I made a 3d bear cake and froze it. Unfortunately it didn't thaw all the way when I started decorating and found that my icing wouldn't stay put. It was getting a little condensation on it so maybe that's why, so I would definitely make sure its thawed all the way thru before decorating if that indeed was my problem.
