made chocolate royal icing?

I did just the other day. My husband didn't care for it but I liked it. I just added a 1 oz square of unsweetened chocolate to the royal icing. I didn't measure. Just melted the chocolate then added to royal until I got what I wanted. I wasn't making a whole batch of royal in the chocolate.

Definitely! It tastes amazing. My "pints of Guinness" cookies (see my Photos) are done by adding dark cocoa to the thinned royal icing.
