icon_cry.gif Unfortunately is was my cake. I just finished it at like 1:30 this morning and was happy with the way it turned out. I took pictures of it and posted one to my gallery. Everything was fine until I heard a thump. icon_surprised.gif You guessed it - the purple block fell over taking half of the cake and parts of the other block with it. There wasn't anything I could do at this point because I wasn't running to the store at 2:00 in the morning. I had to wait and send my husband out for supplies, remake and tint batches of icing, cut the parts of the cake off that were falling, and redo the whole cake. The only problem is that I only had a couple hours to do all this! I guess I don't really have a point..just had to get it all out. Maybe I can laugh about this someday..maybe.

It's nice to know that this kind of thng happens to most, if not all, of us.
Still turned out nice. That is what makes a good decorator, being able to fix them boo-boos.

I am so sorry that happened to you. I will never forget the time I dropped a strawberry shortcake cake...fortunately, I had not decorated it yet. Anyway...both cakes look great! icon_smile.gif

Mac - this kind of stuff happens to me more than I want to admit. icon_biggrin.gif Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Traci- I wish I would've dropped the cake before I decorated it. But then again, the story wouldn't be as funny icon_lol.gif

I guess now I have two cakes to add to my portfolio...there's always an upside.

Just in case anybody was interested in seeing the cake before I fixed it icon_redface.gif

Thanks guys for your compliments....I'll chalk this one up to a lesson learned. Too bad I have to learn so many lessons in one weekend. icon_biggrin.gif
