Wilton Instructors, Don't Take This Vent Personal ........

I just want to say that I know the story too well, I used to be an instructor in THAT SAME STORE! The education director is a mess and I couldn't take it anymore.
First I would go to my class and only the first time I would have a nice table, by the second class, I'd always find people in my space with signs for other classes, and my class wouldn't have a table where to sit!!
Then she stopped putting my class in the store's calendar flyer, and we got paid depending of how many students you had, and at the beginning I used to have 12 or 15, the first time she forgot I got 6, the second 4 etc, That was just unacceptable, I had to drive 20 miles to get to my class and for 4 students wasn't worthy, but I think my students were satisfied with me, I still have contact via e-mail with some of them, and some call me to ask for advice and I always help them gladly.
That store has serious problems.
Hi, I am a Wilton Instrutor. I love to teach!! I also have a good store. I appreciate the fact that you are venting your fustrations. You are a paying customer and this is an unfortunate situation. I try my hardest to teach the best I can and I always check my roster. I will even sit down with each of my students and help them after I demo a technique. I am proud to say that my students love me so much that we have all decided to create a cake club and we will meet once a month and chat, share pic's, maybe bring some cup cakes to decorate and pass on new ideas that we have learned. There is so much info out there I am sure that I can learn something from them too

if that store is a chain store, I would write a letter to their Headquarters, if it's just a small shop..then write to wilton or call your teacher co ordinator. I know they may not be able to do anything about it...and maybe they are acting like that because the products don't sell..but that's not really your fault.
You keep doing what you love doing and hopefuly you will find another store that will assist you with your recruiting.
That just sucks!
Bring it up at the yearly meeting if you can attend. Word gets around and they won't be able to place any WMI in that store.
