I am so ridiculously proud of myself it is embarrassing!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew ya'll would understand!!!

It is cooling right now but I plan to cover a 6in and 8in round with it. Both layers will be german chocolat with coconut pecan filling and choco buttercream underneath the choco fondant.

And all this because I wanted to work with fondant for the first time!!! icon_lol.gif

Congratulations! It's always satisfying to succeed at a new cake recipe/technique, isn't it?
How did you make the MMF chocolate?

I added an oz of melted chocolate while I melted the marshmallows.

It tastes yummy.....if I do say so myself icon_cool.gif

i used unsweetened melted toll house chocolate. It makes a nice light brown color and a subtle flavor

I know exactly how you feel...I made my first batch the other day....the cake sounds sooooo good.....have fun!

Since this MMF seems to be so popular. I have a question about storage. How would you store this stuff? I have been wanting to make it but have not done so yet, still have the bag of marshmallows in my cabinet. Been calling my name now for a couple of days.

The store-bought fondant comes in a plastic tub...inside it is tightly wrapped with plastic. If you wrap it tightly with saran wrap...make sure there are no air pockets and stick it in a tupperware..it should be fine for a loooooooooooooong time....

I just bought some marshmallows yesterday because I've been wanting to make the mmf. Unfortunately, I can't stay out of the bag. My Wilton instructor told me to rub a thin coat of Crisco on a ball of fondant, wrap in saran wrap, then in foil, then put in airtight container.
