Sps Cut To Side Dowels Question

Has anyone tried the spa cut to size plastic columns or the scored columns? Are the plastic cut to size stable?
I've tried them both - the cut-to-size ones for up to 3 tiers and the scored ones for 4 tiers. They worked fine.
The cut-to-size didn't seem to fit tight, but once everything was put together, there were no problems at all. SPS is all I use anymore. I love it!
I just found out today that Bakery Craft was sold to Deco and they are no longer going to sell the SPS system. Are the scored columns difficult to cut?
