I'm thinking of making one tier of a cake gold (either heavy lustre dusting or painting on dark brown fondant) with gold cake lace pieces over it. I rather like a small sample I have made but how would it look on a cake? I haven't found any photos. Any advice or photos please?

Also on whether to dust or paint the fondant?
