Hi guys,
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
So I have just moved to the UK (I am originally from New Zealand). I now live in Winchester.I have tried to look through the forum for this answer but I cannot seem to find it :(. Hoping someone can help me!
I made ganache last night (I think this is what has me nervous about buying more chocolate). I made it two parts cooking chocolate from Waitrose to one part double cream. It went really lumpy and just didn't work out like it usually would in NZ it was really thick. I think I saved it as I think it had "seperated", so just added more cream to reincorporate it.
My question is what is the best chocolate to use for garnishes here in the UK?
I'm really worried it is not going to harden or soften properly. In other times I have usually just brought Nestle melts, or the signature range buttons. I would usually melt with a little bit of oil in the microwave and then pipe them onto baking paper.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I will be going to the supermarket in the next hour or so, so I'm praying to the cake gods someone can answer my question :)
Thanks Rach. :)
