Cake Mix Extender Question

i'm doing a cake in wilton's wondermold pan and i was wondering if anyone knew if the recipe for the cake mix extender ends up being a firm enough batter for this type of cake. i have the cake mix extender recipe from this site. thanks

I BELIEVE THAT IS WHAT I DID FOR MY LAST 3D BEAR, SO IT SHOULD WORK FOR THE WONDER MOLD...I USED THE ONE THAT SAID IT WAS DURABLE ENOUGH FOR 3D CAKES....IT IS IN THE RECIPE SECTION ON THIS SITE

It is under cake mix recipes : durable cake for 3d and wedding cakes...

i used it for my mini bear pan and it worked out great...my sister said it was delicious..she ate the whole bear.(it was a mini)

i also added a package of instant pudding..i do that with all my cakes

The wondermold cakepan also takes 2 cake mixes as I found out the hard way when one wasn't enough!! I think the instructions says one!!

I would think the durable cake for 3d and wedding cakes recipe would be a better one to use .. it is a denser cake and more than likely would hold up better for your than just the cake extender recipe would icon_smile.gif
