I am making a Yeti ice chest/cooler cake with fish laying on ice. The lid in a pic I have looks like it's sticking straight up. Does anyone know how to achieve this? Please help!

How big are you making it?

Maybe gumpaste with skewers would work if it's on the smaller side? Or dowelling rods?

It needs to be really light, I'd probably cover Styrofoam and use doweling rods to attach it to the back of the cake.
