Ok so I do cakes as a side business. A cousin asked me to do a cake for her nephew and I said sure. It's a 3D ball cake problem is that I never did one and I bit more than I could chew. Now I have a crumbled cake and the event is tomorrow and I don't know how to inform her about it without having her be upset. Also I do have a newborn so that was in part why i didn't do my best for this cake since most of my day was spent with him trying to meet his needs. Any advice on what to do in this situation?

That's tricky and I'm sorry for the mess. Maybe offer her do do a sheet cake with some piping on it so at least he's having a cake for his birthday ?  Or...depending on where you live...infirm her NOW so she can go and get and bake from a local bakery.
