I know there are pricing posts all over this website, but I wanted to get some reassurance from others about my pricing. I am a home baker and I am making a website so I wanted to come up with some firm base line prices for my cakes.  I would love your opinions on the prices. To come up with these I used ingrediant asnd supply prices, and then added $10 for each estimated hour it will take me to make the cake. Of course, if the customer requests more decorations, the price will go up from there. Thanks for your help!

That's a good base price and then you can add on from there.    It really depends on detail. For example last week I made a 6" baby shower cake that was all fondant , fondant polka dots , fondant covered Cake drum , fondant gold airbrushed ribbon, and hand made peony for$78. Area also dictates ; I'm in southern Cali . You might call around your area and see what their prices are And then balance your skills and experience with theirs . If your a licensed baker make sure you add in for   Licensing ,insurance , material costs .
