Bride wants this exact cake how would i get started i never used pillars before what materials do i need what size is the cake what size cake boards should i use? Should i get the thicker ones? Hi @gabesmomma9 ‍. I just accidentally bought those pillars and cake plates from Hobby Lobby yesterday. I say accidentally because I needed the ones that are actual SPS cake supports. But you can get those pillars and plates from almost any craft store that has a cake decor section. I bought a 10", 8" and 6" and they ran from $2.99-$4.99 each. They have the ones with the "frill" on the outside but it looks like that cake that you are showing has some icing piping around the edges. You will definitely need the supports in the middle of the cakes and then a cake plate (matching the size of that tier) If I dont make any sense. Here is a youtube video on how that's done
