I am making 7" long by 1" wide fondant beaded & pearl borders for sides of cakes.  How do I ship them?  I thought about putting them in between powdered sugar coated parchment paper & if they arrive too stiff have them put into the freezer for a few minutes & then applied around the sides of the cake.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks.

if i had to ship that i would dry them in sections to fit the exact cake it was intended for and while it would be a definite maybe if they fit upon arrival -- i would also make foam formers to ship them in so they arrive as intact as possible and i'd send an extra one or two

but ultimately i would not willingly ship anything like that -- btw -- powdered sugar will dry it out on the way -- and if i was say for example for some reason needing to deliver a cake and then apply the borders afterwards -- i would make it -- cover it securely with plastic wrap and place a wrung out wet towel on top to keep it all secure --

best to you

and your idea might work but test it in your house first
