Is there really a such thing? Has anyone found a recipe? I want something completely Edible

also you can mix water + gum arabic + color and brush it on a surface like an upturned stainless steel bowl -- let it dry and then flake it off -- or maybe on a silicone mat 

it's makes the flakey kind -- but all edible

If you don't want to make it yourself, you can also buy Sterling flakes from thesugarart.com and grind it finely thru a tea strainer with the handle of a knife.  It's cheap, edible, and makes a nice glitter.
