I'm A Sucker For A Beautiful Cake Pan ...

and this one takes the cake heheheheheh it's a whole collection for nordic ware's 70th anniversary -- the crown bundt is the prettiest pan I think I've ever seen -- and the geo bundlette could find a cozy spot at my house too

Just ordered the crown bundt pan from Amazon, looks to be at a decent discount from nordicware's main site. Very pretty :)

If I thought I could use it, I would have it in a heart beat! But these days I have to stick to items that work for the business..sigh.
I get you singersoul and you are exactly right -- a lot of successful small business have to be scroogelike before he met the angels when it comes to buying things like that --
but still it is so pretty and so meaningful as a 70th anniversary and in gold color --- hahahahaha -- yes I'll have on on the shelf before too long --
and frank -- good call on the better pricing, thank you -- I'm seeing just under forty dollars on Amazon is that about right?
gscout, work of art is exactly right -- I might order mine today -- I really shouldn't right now but....
They are pretty but they are tough to store and when they land on your foot you know it ! And how often you really gonna use it? But that crown could do double duty as a lovely Halloween hat or piece of art on your shelf. Wait that's triple duty!!
A friend once sent me a 6-up mini cake pan of Super Heroes. Adorable but really !!!!! I made them once and I'm frequently moving it around in my closet to get at other items. I wouldv'e never bought it for myself but it is hilarious. Which is why I presume someone thought I needed to have it!

i use mine more often -- mostly in lieu of a hallmark card -- somebody diagnosed with cancer, death in family, got a promotion, moving, to say 'thanks' etc. -- keeps me in the loop -- and i usually bake a pound cake -- doesn't usually cramp anybody's diet -- can be tossed in the freezer for future --
i can make a little lace and they look like a million bucks -- i got a couple in my photos -- one was a low key wedding cake and i included curds for each serving --
i have one i do with one of those muffin size 'roses' sitting on top of a regular bundt cake -- i do ice that one with a glaze and encircle the rose and the border with baby's breath -- it's stunning --
theresa, they come in handy when you're old & grey hahahahaha -- i've given away some of mine and i miss them! i'm pathetic
K8 - you say you add " a bit of lace" like it's no big deal - I'm sure they're beautiful!
And thanks for assuming I'm not already old and/or gray. From other posts I've read of yours, I think you are just a bit older than me (mid 50's is all I'm gonna say about myself )
Congrats to all of you who have the storage space for all the mega-pans!

K8 the lace pieces really add a nice touch! I have those lace molds and have to rethink using them more.

this is cool too -- never saw that before -- a loaf pan
I want to make a meat loaf using that loaf pan. Can you imagine?? Radish rosettes placed along the bottom edge...
creepy mcCreepykins -- they have skulls too >shudder<
i have a stand up jacko'lantern cookie cutter that I do for Halloween -- pretty tame
oh gscout -- meatloaf in that wavey wingy pan with radish roses is brilliant! ooooh now when to make it...what event -- not really thanksgiving or Christmas but then again at Thanksgiving we have had this amazing spread of salmon and ham turkey of course some kind of pork was it -- I think a beautiful meatloaf might fit in --
otherwise it's just the two of us....i could still make it and chop it up and freeze but it's not exactly the same --
great idea -- thanks for sharing!

yay! lookie what I did on this possessed tablet! posted a picture
anyway I do love to make a giant two tier pumpkin sculpture marble cake with a big fat layer of ganache over whipped ganache -- but this pan would be really nice for gifting this fall too
nordic ware has some stunner looking cookware too

probably too many surfaces to have to wash but it's purdy --
I'm dangerous with this photo thing now heheheheh
wish I could figure the photo pasting thingy in my tablet. I'm so used to a computer, and my son the IT specialist is too far away to give me a lesson. :-(
I'm going to have to get that "wavey wingy pan." To some, meatloaf is boring and meh. This would add a WOW factor.
y'know what would be a little outrageous but cool -- bake rolls in the mini acorn/pine cone/walnut/pumpkin pan -- that would go good with the wingy wavey radish rose meatloaf
speaking of extravagant meatloaf -- i think i saw a chef on tv use cooked brisket for meatloaf --- and i thought that was kinda cheatin' but now it's sounding pretty good

I just thought of something: Bed, Bath & Beyond carries Nordic Ware line. I wonder if they will have these pans, and then we could use their coupons!! How great would THAT be?
that would be great -- do you get the coupons online? they never mail me coupons anymore ;(
so is it better than the current 20% off which is about the same as amazon?
williams sonoma is a big nordic ware carrier and we have a ws outlet a few miles away -- but still they are high too -- they have good sales i guess if you need fresh fodder for your yard -- scary looking weird fish platters, strange items no one else wanted either -- those ugly fish platters kind of haunt me
I get them via email. If you go to their site you can sign up for email coupons. They vary, but their 2 most common coupons are 20%, or $5 off.
