3.05 here in Michigan..and ugh...I drive an Expedition
Well the last post on gas I was living in San Antonio, TX. Drive times were really long there and 2.89 was a bummer. Now I live in Abilene drive times are only 10 mins here and rush hour is only at 2 major intersections. So $2.76 Sams/WalMart gas. It isnt so bad now but it still hurts the pocket book. MC
The big oil companies are skinnin' America!
Knoxville, TN averages $2.80, but most of the time with my Kroger card I can get it for about $2.76.
$60.00 to fill up last week, and let me tell you--my days of wandering around and takin' the kids to the pool are WAY GONE!
Seriously though--I've made up my mind--If the truck gets low before payday--I switch to the Camaro!
--Knox--
$2.98 at the cheapest place I can find in Asheville, NC. My husband is in the oil business, and times are getting tough. Of course, with the kids I drive a gas-guzzling mini-van. My husband keeps saying he's going to buy a motorcycle to drive back and forth to work. (I think he's just looking for an excuse!
)
I just got back from driving from New Jersey to South Carolina. In NJ, the gas (reg unleaded) is around $3.15/gal. As I drove south, it gradually got cheaper. I think the cheapest I saw was $2.74/gallon. We stopped there and waited in lines to get gas.
I drive a minivan, so I'm hurtin'. It routinely costs me $65-$75 to fill up.
Here in Canada it is running about $1.10 a litre ...and there is roughly 4 litres in a US Gallon so we are paying about $4.40 a gallon...Definetly not cheap and they say it will keep going up!! Good thing I hardly drive around town so I ususlly fill up my Dodge Durango about every 2 weeks and it cost about $65.00
We just dropped back down to $2.99 - $3.05 per gallon of course that will probably spike back up on Friday morning.
I'm excited - the local TV station just announced that we finally have a station near Lansing with E85 and it is priced at $2.99. I'll have to remember that the next time I'm out that way! If it stays within a reasonable price per gallon of the regular stuff I'll definitely try it. ![]()
I live in California in Santa Barbara county and the cheapest gas in town is $3.24 for regular unleaded. Some gas stations in town are up to $3.46!
it was 3.09 yesterday when I was running errands here in rocky mount, NC. it keeps going up here, faster than it goes down (like it really EVER goes down!!) aren't the oil companies rich enough????
Hmmm how people manage with something like a Hummer I'll never know ![]()
Up here across the border, yeah we havent seen anything below 3.30 US a gallon (did conversion already) in quite a number of years- in fact in the Spring/Winter when things went WAY out of hand- it was 4.08 US/gallon for a while. It's now down around 3.90 ![]()
I live in Maryland and the lowest here is $2.89 but it goes up to $3.29 with in half an hour's drive
Lowest here is 2.99 but its going up daily, highest is 3.15 thats going up daily, too. Thats for regular unleaded.
Just paid my home heating bill for winter 06-07 and that was at 2.75 for #2 fuel oil, up from last year when i paid 1.98 for the same thing. I'm afraid you are going to be reading about people freezing to death this winter.
Yay it went down to 3.08....
better fill up because rumor is that its going to shoot back up... ![]()
gas is $3.09 here and moving up.
my husband drives every day for his business and it is really costing us a lot of money. Plus, I drive an Expedition to haul all of my 4 kids in. OUCH! I wish things were more in walking distance for us. We are cutting back in other areas just so we can put gas in our cars to go to work and school. ![]()
Here, on Vancouver Island, gas is $1.19 a LITER.
That's $4.50/gallon Canadian (what we pay) or
$4.02/gallon U.S. dollars.
The upside is the weather is beautiful and it's easy to walk!
Cheers, from
