Substituting Ingredients

I don't have butter to use for a Duncan Hines Butter Golden Cake Mix... does anyone know if I can substitute oil... and how much to use.  Any help is so appreciated.

I use about 3/4 the amount of oil for butter.

In a pinch, I've substituted 1:1. The batter is a bit thinner, but the final results were fine.
