Decorating With One Hand Just Doesn't Work. Anyone Else Dealt With Injuries?

i just want to complain :p Just over a week ago I got a horrible cat bite to my wrist, trying to break up a cat fight. He nicked nerves (still don't have feeling in my thumb) and I think got some tendons too. Unfortunately I don't have health insurance so I put off the ER until it got infected 2 days later. Thank god it's FINALLY almost healed but I've been going stir-crazy at work. Not much you can do at a bakery with one hand. I made about 8 batches of BC one handed, that was fun. Dipped some cake pops, made dry mixes. But I am so desperate to get back to cakes it's driving me crazy! Did a couple simple buttercream ones late last week when we were in a bind but it was agony. I can't wait to get back to my beloved pain in the ass fondant cakes :)
Oh man, so sorry that happened to you! We have a bully of a cat who picks fights whenever he can. My husband has broken up many fights, but he always uses a tennis racket to jam between the cats. It works really well. Protect your money makers!
