You could use a dry brush and brush on black/gray luster dust...

When I made a Patron Bottle cake, I added a little black to my white fondant to get gray, add a little at a time, let it set for a couple of hours. The color darkens as it sets. After you cover the cake use the luster dust as suggested by HannahsMomi, around the mouth, eyes, ears, chin......use the pic to help with the application. HTH
