Cupcakes With Chocolate Flip Flop Decoration

I have made chocolate flip flops from a mold.  Would I be able to put them on a buttercream topped cupcake the night before an event and have them hold their shape or will them melt in to the buttercream and lose their shape?   Thanks.

the buttercream would show the meltiness first so you should be fine placing them the night before
