Has anyone used the Wilton Garland maker? If so, how do you use it, and what was your experience with it. I have a wedding cake this weekend, and considering using it to mark my swags, but don't have the instructions that came with it to use, and don't have too much time to play around with it to get it right. icon_cry.gif Hoping someone here has used it, and would be willing to pass on their advise, etc.
Thanks

I have one of those too with no instructions! Never was able to quite figure it out. I'm no way experienced like so many on here but. . . for my niece's wedding cake I used adding machine tape and folded it to mark the sections with a toothpick - then used a large round cookie cutter to imprint the swags. I'll keep watching to see if anyone has any good advise on those Garland Makers.

That sounds creative with the adding machine tape...I too hope someone will shed some light on the subject, but guessing that most on here are experience enough they can just wing it without this gadget. icon_razz.gif

Ok, I am new too so hate to add my two cents . . . but I have one of those too and had to get hubby to show me how to use it. I used for a wedding cake and hated it. If you don't get your swag right on the mark you are left with all these tiny holes in your cake that you can see. Took forever to use a brush with thinned icing to get rid of them. ANd it was a freebie cake.

I would love to hear if there is a better way. Maybe I used it wrong too.
