What is the best method of making edible feathers for a wedding cake?

I haven't actually done these but if I needed to do them,  I'd probably try this method!

I think there is a lace mat to make edible lace feathers. Don't remember where I saw it...sorry. But maybe do an Internet search.

I personally think rice paper feathers look more realistic, but it depends on what kind of feathers you are making.  For instance if you are making peacock feathers it is probably better to use gumpaste, but if you want simple white feathers use rice paper.
