How big is your oven that it can only bake 12 at a time? You can do them ahead and freeze them if you're desperate, but i'd get advice from people who have done that before. I don't do cupcakes so I don't know how the wrappers will be affected by freezing and thawing. You could plan on using some of those cupcake liners that you slip on over the wrappers you bake them in, in case the ones that you bake them in separate from the cupcakes.
