Hello, does anyone have a recipe for frosting that calls for butter and shortening?  I had found one around easter on the back of a C&H powdered sugar bag and it was the BEST frosting EVER!!! I think it used vanilla, powered sugar, touch of milk, butter and shortening maybe.  I just can't remember the amounts.  Please share if you know what I'm speaking of. Thanks so much!!!

I googled C & H frosting and found these two.  The second one might be the one you're looking for:

Making delicious homemade frosting is as easy as 1-2-3. To a full 1-lb. box of C&H® Pure Cane Powdered Sugar, simply add 1/2 cup softened butter (1 stick), ¼ cup of milk, and 1 tsp. of vanilla. Mix. Voilà! The best-tasting buttercream frosting with NO preservatives or trans fats. You’ll never use store-bought frostings again.

Make one simple frosting base that creates a variety of frosting colors and flavors!

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup all-vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (2 lb.) pkg. C&H® Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
