Hi! I'm doing a cake this weekend and am using wafer paper. I want the entire bottom tier (9") covered in wafer paper flowers (I'm using the martha stewart hydrangea punch from Michael's). I'm estimating I will need roughly 500 flowers. Cutting this many out isn't a problem, but curling all of them with a steamer is proving to be difficult. it's saturating the flower with too much steam and isn't really curling the petals (using a travel steamer, fyi). Then I tried boiling water and curling them over the steam - this worked, but took probably 30-45 seconds PER FLOWER because it was such light steam. I can't imagine curling 500 flowers this way. Is there a faster way???
