I am making a 8 layer 8"round cake stacked straight up. How do i support it....my guess is every 2 layer put a cake board but not sure if i need dowels As well.
How tall is one layer? With 2" layers I would put a board and dowels every 2 layers, but that would mean you're making a 16" tall cake. That's top heavy and needs a centre dowel driven into the cake board or it'll fall.
